This a detailed glossary about 3D printing concepts, equipments, materials and supplies. The glossary is produced as an intellectual output of Curriculum Material Development in Vocational Education Through 3D Printing Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Project Ref No. KA202-6677472E. We, as the project team members, believe that this online glossary will be a useful utility for those who want improve their 3D skills but do not know the basic concepts and terms of 3D world. It will let the invidiuals look up the components and their function as well as general information about them.
Nozzle
Noun
A cylindrical or round spout at the end of a pipe, hose, or tube used to control a jet of gas or liquid. In 3D printing, the term "nozzle" refers to the component which is generally made of metal and where the melted filament is extruded out.
"The nozzle tip size may vary depending on the time of 3D printer and the printing material".
Example: A stainless steel steam nozzle foams up lattes. Attach a spray nozzle to the end of the garden hose to increase its water pressure.
